The illustration was originally created through intaglio printing, using a copper plate that was salt water etched. It forms part of a collection of illustrations and text from my 'Withy pots & salix piskies' story book, which formed a large part of my Jewelwithy project.

Text on the back reads:
'Their lives are governed by nature and what each season brings. Falling leaves mark autumn and the nights begin to draw in. The weather starts to turn and the sea becomes treacherous. The last catch of the year for the fishermen is almost upon them .'
